Freestream Aircraft provides independent advisory services across the full spectrum of Bombardier Global platforms. From pre-purchase evaluations and technical due diligence to acquisitions, disposals, and ongoing asset management, Freestream delivers the platform-specific knowledge required to make informed decisions in the ultra-long-range market.
The following overview presents the Bombardier Global family, covering the Global 5500, Global 6000, Global 6500, Global 7500, and the newly certificated Global 8000, with key performance, cabin, and operating-cost figures to support fleet evaluation and comparison.
The Global 7500 entered service in 2018 as the largest purpose-built business aircraft in Bombardier's portfolio. Powered by twin GE Passport engines, it delivers 7,700 nm at long-range cruise, connecting city pairs such as London to Singapore and New York to Hong Kong without a stop. The four-zone cabin, at 54.4 ft in length and 2,637 cu ft in volume, remains the largest in class among aircraft in production. Over 200 aircraft are in service globally.

The Global 8000 received Transport Canada type certification on 5 November 2025, FAA certification on 19 December 2025, and entered service with its first delivery on 8 December 2025. It shares the Global 7500 airframe and 2,637 cu ft four-zone cabin, with a revised GE Passport engine variant and a certified range of 8,000 nm at Mach 0.85. Maximum cruise speed is Mach 0.95 (633 kts), the highest of any in-production business jet. Cabin altitude at 41,000 ft cruise is 2,691 ft, the lowest cited for any production business aircraft. Operating-cost data is pending sufficient fleet-hours accumulation.

The Global 6500 entered service in 2019 as the successor to the Global 6000, incorporating a next-generation wing design and Rolls-Royce Pearl 15 engines for improved range and reduced fuel consumption. With 6,600 nm range and speeds to Mach 0.90, it provides intercontinental reach in a refined cabin environment. The Global 6500 shares the Bombardier Vision Flight Deck with the Global 7500, delivering a consistent cockpit experience across the current-generation fleet.

| Variable Cost / Hour | $7,390 |
| Annual Fixed Cost | $1,572,688 |
The Global 6000 was the backbone of Bombardier's large-cabin range for over a decade, with 338 aircraft delivered between 2011 and 2024. Powered by twin Rolls-Royce BR 710 engines and certified to FL510, it established the wide-body cabin standard that defines the Global family today. With a strong and liquid pre-owned market, predictable maintenance costs, and a well-understood operational profile, the Global 6000 remains a compelling platform for operators seeking proven ultra-long-range capability.
| Production | 2011–2024 (338 built) |
| Serial Numbers | 9381–9656 |
| Long-Range Cruise Speed | 471 kts |

The Global 5500 is the entry point to Bombardier's current-generation Global family, sharing the Pearl 15 engine and Vision Flight Deck with the Global 6500. With a range of 5,900 nm and the widest cabin cross-section in its segment, the Global 5500 bridges the gap between super-mid-size and ultra-long-range categories. Its operating economics and cabin dimensions make it well-suited to operators whose mission profiles do not require the extended range of the Global 6500 or 7500.

The Global 8000 entered service in December 2025. Performance and cabin figures are sourced from Bombardier published materials and certification press releases. Operating-cost figures are not yet available and will be added once representative fleet-hours data exists.
The Global 6000 completed production in 2024 after 338 deliveries. The Global 6500 is its direct successor in the current Bombardier line-up, incorporating a revised wing and Pearl 15 engines. The Global 6000 annual fixed cost figure is not separately tabulated here; existing fleet operators should consult current programme data.
Variable and fixed cost figures are sourced from current fleet operating data at 250 hours annual utilisation, $5.00/USG fuel, and US-based crew rates. Figures represent a modelled baseline; actual costs will vary by operator, region, and programme structure. All figures are in US dollars.
