The Gulfstream G700 has reached 100 customer deliveries. The Savannah airframer announced the milestone on 10 June. The same release confirmed the model's 100th city-pair speed record. Both numbers mark a fleet benchmark for the ultra-long-range platform.
The 100th record flight ran from Savannah to San Jose, California. The G700 covered the route in 4 hours and 36 minutes. Cruise speed averaged Mach 0.91. The aircraft then continued from San Jose to Teterboro, New Jersey. That second leg ran 4 hours and 14 minutes, again at Mach 0.91.
The G700 carries a published range of 7,750 nautical miles at Mach 0.85, or 6,650 nm at Mach 0.90. Maximum operating speed is Mach 0.935. The cabin holds 20 panoramic oval windows across four living areas. The Symmetry Flight Deck uses active control sidesticks, a Combined Vision System and dual head-up displays.
More than 700 pilots have been trained and type-rated by FlightSafety International, according to the release. The model is certified in more than 20 countries. Mark Burns, Gulfstream president, said the G700 'has once again set a new benchmark, firmly establishing itself as the business aviation industry flagship.'
Customer deliveries began in April 2024, after FAA type certification the month before. The 100th hand-over comes a little over two years after the first delivery. The G700 sits at the top of Gulfstream's clean-sheet family, alongside the in-service G800 and the G400 still in flight test. Production runs at Gulfstream's Savannah advanced manufacturing campus. The platform uses Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, the same powerplant as the G800.
