A Side-by-Side Comparison of the In-Service Ultra-Long-Range Fleet
The Ultra Long Range class is defined by one number. Each aircraft below can fly more than 6,000 nautical miles non-stop at long-range cruise. That envelope opens city pairs the next class down cannot complete without a fuel stop. New York to Hong Kong. London to Buenos Aires. Los Angeles to Riyadh.
Five in-service platforms make up the class today: Bombardier's Global 7500 and Global 8000, Gulfstream's G700 and G800, and Dassault's Falcon 8X. Dassault's Falcon 10X is in development, with certification expected in 2027, and is not included. The comparison below covers performance, cabin, and operating economics on a like-for-like basis. Acquisition cost is excluded by design.
The Global 7500 is the established benchmark in the class. In service since December 2018, it offers the widest and tallest cabin among the comparison set, four interior zones, and the largest cabin volume in the class, tied with the new Global 8000 that shares its airframe. Powered by twin General Electric Passport engines and equipped with the Bombardier Vision flight deck. Through May 2026 Bombardier has produced 208 airframes, with 207 reported in service.

The Global 8000 is the range and speed extension of the Global 7500, on the same airframe and Bombardier Vision flight deck. An enhanced General Electric Passport variant at 18,920 lbf per engine lifts maximum operating Mach to 0.95, the highest of any in-service business jet. Transport Canada type certification followed on 5 November 2025; FAA on 19 December 2025; first delivery on 8 December 2025. The cabin altitude of 2,691 ft at FL410 is the lowest published in business aviation.

The G700 entered service in 2023 as Gulfstream's flagship of the post-G650 generation. Powered by twin Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines and equipped with the Symmetry flight deck on Honeywell Primus Epic 2.0. Cabin length 56.92 ft, the longest in the class, with the widest and tallest interior dimensions of the comparison set. Through May 2026 Gulfstream has produced 43 airframes, all reported in service.

The G800 is the long-range counterpart to the G700, on a shorter fuselage with the same Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines and Symmetry flight deck. FAA type certification in April 2025. Long-range cruise range 8,300 nautical miles, the longest in the class. Cabin width and height match the G700; cabin length is 46.9 ft. Operating-cost figures are preliminary; the fleet is still accumulating hours.

The Falcon 8X is the only trijet in the class. In service since 2016, with three Pratt & Whitney Canada PW307D engines and Honeywell Primus Epic avionics with the EASy III interface. Range is the shortest of the comparison set at 6,325 nautical miles long-range cruise, but the three-engine configuration delivers performance margin at hot-and-high airports and over-water ETOPS-style envelopes that twins do not match. Through May 2026 Dassault has produced 108 airframes, all reported in service.

The Global 8000 entered service in December 2025. Performance and cabin figures are taken from Bombardier published materials; operating-cost figures are not yet available and will be added once representative fleet data exists.
The G800 received FAA type certification in April 2025. Figures will tighten as the fleet accumulates hours.
Dassault's Falcon 10X is in development with certification expected in 2027 and is not included. The 10X will be added when in-service data exists.
