Bombardier Global 7000

The Bombardier Global 7000 programme received type certification in 2018. The aircraft was renamed Global 7500 before first delivery; the airframe, cabin, and performance specifications are the same as those recorded in the Conklin & de Decker database under the original designation. Powered by twin General Electric Passport 20-19BB1A engines, the aircraft carries up to 16 passengers over 7,474 nautical miles seats-full. The cabin measures 54.42 ft in length, making it the longest in this comparison. Maximum cruise speed is 521 knots.

Gulfstream G550

The Gulfstream G550 entered service in 2002 as the successor to the G500, offering 6,583 nautical miles range seats-full and a 50.1 ft cabin accommodating up to 18 passengers. Powered by twin Rolls-Royce BR700-710C4-11 engines, the G550 was certified to 51,000 ft and achieved a rate of climb of 3,740 ft/min. Production concluded in 2020 after 622 aircraft were delivered, making the G550 one of the most widely operated large-cabin business jets of its generation.

Gulfstream G650

The 46.9 ft cabin is 8.2 ft wide, wider than the G550. Production ran from 2011 to 2020 with 155 aircraft delivered; the type was superseded by the G700.

Hourly variable and annual fixed costs are modelled at 250 flight hours per year, $5.00 per US gallon Jet A, $105 per hour maintenance labour, and a 600 nm average trip. Crew, hangar, insurance, and training are included in the fixed line. Acquisition cost is excluded.

On the Global 7000 designation

Bombardier renamed the Global 7000 programme to Global 7500 before entry into service. The figures shown reflect the current production Global 7500, which is the same airframe Conklin & de Decker tracks for what the archive originally referenced as the Global 7000. No separate production aircraft were ever delivered under the Global 7000 designation.
